Delta Magic seeks a highly organized, community-oriented professional to serve as our Community Engagement & Operations Coordinator. This role supports daily administrative operations while serving as a visible representative of the organization in Helena-West Helena and the broader Delta region.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, welcoming, and passionate about community development, with the ability to manage operations while building relationships with community members, partners, and visitors.

This position combines administrative excellence, operational support, and community engagement to help advance Delta Magic’s mission and impact.

Community Engagement & Operations Coordinator

Office Management

  • Manage outgoing mail, including donor acknowledgment letters, vendor payments, and post office needs.

  • Purchase and maintain office supplies.

  • Support general administrative and operational functions.

Responsibilities

Inventory & Merchandise Management

  • Fulfill online merchandise orders.

  • Organize and manage inventory.

  • Track merchandise and supply levels.

Communication

  • Write newsletters and blog posts highlighting people, organizations, or initiatives bringing “magic” to the Mississippi Delta region. 

  • Share organizational updates with stakeholders.

Hunt Center Management

  • Call Hunt Center renters ahead of their rental to coordinate on the meeting time and address any other questions.

  • Meet Hunt Center renters on the day of their rental to go over the rules and ensure they have everything they need.

  • Ensure that the Hunt Center is cleaned, stocked, and organized after each rental by coordinating with the cleaners and Administrative Assistant.

  • Preferred Associate’s degree (2-year degree) in business administration, communications, nonprofit management, public administration, or related field.

  • Equivalent professional or executive administrative experience may be considered in place of formal education.

  • Prior administrative, executive support, office management, or operations experience strongly preferred.

  • Experience in community engagement or public-facing work is highly desirable.

  • Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.

  • Ability to represent the organization professionally in public settings.

  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and work independently.

  • Proficiency with office technology, email communication, and standard office software.

  • Commitment to community development and Delta Magic’s mission.

Event & Organizational Support

  • Assist staff and board members with event preparation and execution.

  • Support meetings, operations, and special initiatives.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Salary is set at $40,000
