Delta Magic is looking to hire a talented, motivated Executive Director. The Executive Director will work with the Board of Directors to execute and build upon the strategic plan. This position is a full time role and we expect you to start contributing immediately.

Executive Director

Responsibilities

Program Management

  • Leading the Rising Leaders program 

  • Managing the Cleburne Hotel, Big River Grocery, and Bubbas Blues Corner projects to ensure that progress continues and meets annual goals.

  • Work with the Program Manager to ensure that all Delta Magic programs are on target and working as intended.

Donor Management: 

  • Manage donors through our donor platform

  • Send acknowledgement letters

  • Work with the Fundraising Committee to identify potential donors

Employee Management

  • Meet weekly with and manage the goals of the Program Manager and Administrative Assistant 

  • Ensure payroll is submitted every two weeks

Fiscal Management

  • Ensure spending adheres to our operating budget

  • Keep track of receipts and ensure that all expenses are accounted for in QuickBooks

  • Prepare financial statements for board meetings

Board Management

  • Work with the Board President to ensure financial statements and KPIs are submitted to the Board at each meeting.

  • Meet weekly with the Board President.

  • Work with the Board to establish and meet annual goals.

Advancement

  • Network with local and state leaders, influencers, and community organizers to create more opportunities for the Delta.

  • Attend conferences and trainings that will further the goals of Delta Magic

  • Ensure that Delta Magic has a presence at community events through tabling and advertising.

Grant Writing

  • Work with the Executive Director to identify and apply for grant opportunities to support communication efforts.

Community

  • Attend and document community events.

  • Occasionally volunteer at community events.

  • Experience with non-profit management

  • Experience with budget management

  • Ability to work a set schedule with flexibility to attend events after work or on weekends.

  • Ability to work well with a diverse group of people.

  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and projects.

  • Proficiency with email, documents, writing, and public speaking

  • Resident of Phillips County or willing to relocate to the community

Requirements

  • Experience with communication tools (CRM, graphic design, social media)

  • Management experience

  • Experience with grant management

  • Salary is set at $100,000
